Installed positioning anchors transmit UWB signals that supported phones receive for local position calculation. High-Precision Positioning with UWB DL-TDoA
Eforthink specifies 30 cm-level positioning for its downlink solution, subject to the deployed geometry and operating conditions. Positioning anchors must provide suitable coverage; display cases, structural shielding and visitor movement can affect performance and should be included in site testing.
This spatial information supports UWB navigation between galleries and exhibition areas. It can also connect a visitor’s position with location-aware content, nearby points of interest and other indoor location services. Route quality depends on the map and application as well as positioning accuracy.
Designed for Busy Museums and Integrated Services
The receiving architecture suits museums, art galleries and exhibition venues with many visitors. Phones receive broadcasts without each occupying a two-way ranging exchange. Application traffic and optional analytics remain separate capacity considerations for the indoor navigation system.
SDK integration allows indoor location services to fit an existing museum application. Content triggers, consent settings and backend data sharing should follow the institution’s service design, rather than assuming every visitor is continuously tracked.
